In 1993 LeToya rounded out the current lineup, which scored a breakthrough hit in 1996 with the single 'No No No,' also found on their 1997 self-titled debut album. Destiny's Child features production by big names such as Wyclef Jean, Pras, Sylvia Bennett Smith, Jermaine Dupri, as well as a number of covers of classic R&B songs.

Their sophomore effort, The Writing's on the Wall, was released on Columbia in 1999. Vibe magazine described the disc as 'funky, beat-savvy tunes guaranteed to offend certain fellas as the battle of the sexes rages on.'
